Why Enchant?

#

An enchanted weapon hits harder. Enchanted armor takes less damage. The numbers are small per level — but they stack, and they compound with shots, buffs, and over-enchant glow. The best players on Emerge aren’t the ones with the biggest collections; they’re the ones who pushed three pieces of gear past the safe limit and didn’t cry about the fourth.

Safe Enchant Limits

#

Below these levels, enchant always succeeds. No risk.

The Three Scrolls

#
  • Normal Scroll — cheap. On failure above the safe limit, your item is destroyed.
  • Blessed Scroll — expensive. On failure above the safe limit, the enchant resets to +0 but the item survives.
  • Crystal Scroll — higher success rate, item destroyed on failure. For risk-takers only.
Rule of thumbNormal scrolls for trash. Blessed only for anything you’d cry about losing.

The Math of Risk

#

Approximate per-attempt success rates above the safe limit:

+4 → +566%
+5 → +660%
+6 → +752%
+7 → +845%
+8 → +938%
+9 →~30% and falling

Multiply across multiple attempts and the picture gets ugly fast. Going from +4 to +10 in one sitting is a sub-3% chain.

05

Strategy & Etiquette

#
  • Enchant multiple copies of the same item rather than betting it all on one.
  • +4 to +6 on S-grade armor is the best stat-to-risk ratio in the game.
  • Never enchant after a bottle of wine. The screenshots haunt forever.
  • Don’t announce enchants in world chat before you click. Tempting fate is a real thing on this server.

The Glow Club

#

A +16 weapon gets a unique cosmetic glow. It’s the closest thing Interlude has to a status symbol — every Hero has one, and every player who walks past one feels it.

The pulse you see when an Emerge legend draws their blade in Giran square.
