Getting Started
From a blank launcher to your first level 20 — the path every Emerge hero walks.
You joined an Interlude community built around active clans, helpful veterans, and players who still enjoy finding parties, trading in Giran, and making server stories together. This guide gets you from a fresh launcher to your first real party and the community tools that make Emerge feel alive.
Grab the launcher from our Download page — it’s a single 75 MB installer that downloads and patches the full ~20 GB game client for you. Run it once, choose your install folder, let it verify, and you’re ready to play. The downloader is fast, so even a fresh install should move quickly.
Register your game account from this website, then use those credentials in the launcher.
Your first choice locks in your class tree for the next 80 levels — there’s no respec into a different race later. Take a minute on this screen.

- Human — the all-rounder. Best fit if you don’t know what you want yet.
- Elf — fast casters, fast bows, lower HP. Great for archers and healers.
- Dark Elf — highest magic damage in the game. Glass-cannon nukers and elite daggers.
- Orc — tankiest fighters and the strongest dedicated buffer in the chronicle.
- Dwarf — the only race that can Spoil and Craft. The economy runs on them.
Stay in your starting village and clear every newbie quest you can find. They hand out the white "No-Grade" gear, your first skill books, and enough Adena to buy Soulshots — which is the only thing that really matters at this stage.
- Accept the "Path of the..." quest from your guild master — it’s your level-20 reward.
- Talk to the Newbie Helper for a free buff every few minutes.
- Solo to about level 15, then look for a party. Newbie zones move quickly, and grouping makes the last stretch smoother.
.commands in chat at any time to see every server command available to you. It saves a lot of forum-digging.Hit level 20, head back to your race’s main city, and find the Class Master NPC (he glows on the minimap). Five minutes of fetch-quest later, you’re a real class — Knight, Wizard, Rogue, whatever the tree pointed you toward.
You’ll do this again at level 40 (second transfer) and level 76 (third, the big one). Each transfer unlocks a new skill set, so don’t over-commit SP before then — save some for the post-transfer skills.
- Soulshots / Spiritshots — these double your damage. If you’re fighting without them, you’re playing on hard mode.
- Join a clan early — even a casual one gives you clan buffs and people to ask questions.
- Read skill tooltips before you spend SP. Some skills are traps.
- Press Alt+B for the Community Board: teleports, buff shop, market, the lot.
- Check the Community Board and Discord to find active parties, market posts, and event calls.
