Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data L2 Emerge collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what control you have over it. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. The main website carries no third-party tracking.

What we collect

• Account data — email address and a hashed password (bcrypt). We never store plain-text passwords.
• Security data — IP address, user-agent, and login timestamps. Used to detect unauthorized access and brute-force attempts.
• Game data — the in-game accounts and characters you create, plus their progression on our servers.
• Payment data — PayPal transaction IDs and the coin amount purchased. Card numbers are processed by PayPal and never reach our servers.
• Support data — the content of tickets you open, including any attachments.

What we do not collect

• No analytics scripts, ad pixels, fingerprinting, or social-media trackers on the main site.
• No physical address, no phone number, no real name (PayPal handles this on its side only).

Why we collect it

• To run your account and keep your characters tied to it.
• To detect bots, sharing patterns, and credential theft.
• To process coin purchases and refunds.
• To answer your support tickets.

How long we keep it

• Account, character, and transaction data is kept for as long as your master account exists.
• If you delete your account from Settings → Danger zone, personal data is erased within 30 days. Anonymised financial records may be retained as required by tax law.
• Login IP logs older than 90 days are pruned automatically.
• Closed support tickets are kept for 12 months for reference, then deleted.

See our Cookie Policy for the full list. In short: a session cookie keeps you logged in, and a CSRF cookie protects every form. That is all.

Your rights

• Access — request a copy of all data we hold on you.
• Rectification — correct your email or other inaccurate data from Settings.
• Erasure — delete your account at any time, no questions asked.
• Portability — request a machine-readable export.
